Meet Joesita Spruill, the founder of Vibe Mi Clothing — and this is more than just a brand story. It's a testimony.

I first came up with the idea for Vibe Mi Clothing in late 2020. But in 2021, I lost my mom, and with her, I lost the drive to keep going. I put the brand down and walked away from something I truly believed in.

It wasn't until 2025 that I picked it back up — because I realized I couldn't give up on something I wanted this badly. Not after everything I had already survived.

I'm from Kalamazoo, Michigan — a smaller city that most people overlook. But I always knew I had something different to offer the world of streetwear. Vibe Mi Clothing was born from a simple but powerful idea: your energy is expressed through what you wear. I know firsthand that even in your darkest moments, getting dressed and putting yourself together can shift something inside of you — even if just for that moment.

When I made the decision to relocate to a new state and start my life over — just me and my youngest daughter — I walked into one of the hardest seasons of my life. No job. No car. No stable place to call my own. I was moving from couch to couch, and eventually found myself living out of a hotel. But through all of it, I never stopped working on my brand. I put every feeling, every setback, every breakthrough into my designs. Even the simplest word typography is intentional — nothing is by accident.

People doubted me. No one thought I could pull my life together as fast as I did. But within just 4 months of relocating, I had a job, a place, and a car. Faith and determination will take you further than anyone's opinion of you ever could.

Vibe Mi Clothing, to me, is watching ideas I had saved in my phone become an actual online store circulating the internet. It's proof that the vision was always real — it just needed the right season to grow.

I designed these clothes for the ones who like to be different. For those who appreciate quality, who put thought into how they show up, and who aren't afraid to stand out in a crowd where everyone else is wearing the exact same thing.
